OK, so the title has kind of become a joke with my coworker who I constantly share wisdom with from The Primal Blueprint. We have recently been joking that I'm so into the book that I'm likely to start talking like a caveman. Not entirely PC, but pretty hysterical when we start speaking caveman back and forth to each other. For example:
*Phone rings*
Answers the phone chewing on a chicken leg
"Good afternoon, me Abby. Me hungry."
Whatever gets you through the day, right?
I originally started this book because my ears perked up a little bit when my buddy mentioned he dropped 20 lbs without realizing it by following Mark's wisdom. He also, and maybe more importantly, mentioned that since taking on the paleo lifestyle he has felt great each day with more energy and less tired. I've never followed a diet, I'm not a dieter. Rosemary, my mom, always says, everything in moderation and I truly listen to her and believe this. I guess I've also just been in search of learning about a lifestyle (OK, diet) that suits me and my own personal lifestyle and won't be just some 4 month fling that I do to lose weight for the seven weddings I have this year (I'm not joking about that either.) I guess technically if you want to go by the books, I am in fact overweight. I don't deny I could afford to lose a few pounds but I also am comfortable in my own body and most days look in the mirror and like what I see. I use most lightly.
